S & S Sketch Challenge #60

My friend Eric is celebrating his 13th annual 29th birthday this Saturday, so I decided to make his card today. Over at the OWH Stars & Stamps Blog they have a great sketch.
The squares in the sketch worked out perfectly for the theme of the card. In hawaiian quilting they traditionally use this type of geometric pattern. Since my friend is a fan of all things hawaiian I couldn't resist.

  1. oh so pretty and colorful.

    Happy Birthday to your friend.

    thanks for sharing ~ Pam

  2. You created the perfect card for your friend!! It reminded me of Hawaii when I first saw it! I love those tiny images you used on the squares! Pretty colors, and you did a great job on the sketch challenge!
