Midweek Throwdown

I made this card for OWH's Midweek Throwdown and Sweet Sketch Wednesday #69.

OWH: Our challenge this week is a theme challenge!  We challenge you to make cards “for the girls”.  Cards that our hero’s can send home to their female loved ones!  Big girls, little girls, any occasion, birthday, anniversary, love, miss you – I’m sure you have lots of great ideas!

I've had this sticker for awhile and when I saw this sketch I knew this would be a great time to use it. I love how the flowers turned out. Thanks SRM!

Southern Girls Challenge

I made the following card for the second challenge for Southern Girls Challenge.
I used a pair of earrings that I haven't worn in years. This was such a great challenge.
What a cre8tive way to use our old jewelry.

 Challenge 2 - Recycled Jewelery

We are really excited to bring you our second challenge here at Southern Girls Challenges, wow what a fantastic number of entries we had for our first challenge.  Fingers crossed this one will be half as popular.  This fornights challenge is "RECYCLED JEWELLERY"  be it something from your junk drawer, a two dollar shop bargain or a peice of family history we want to see it on your creation.  As always we don't mind whether you enter a layout, off the page creation or card we just want to see your take on the challenge.
Now try it yourself: http://southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2010/09/challenge-2-recycled-jewelery.html

S&S Sketch Challenge #36

The S&S Sketch challenges are great. I always get inspired.
This time it was the circle that caught my eye.
The flowers that I used were a perfect size for the sketch.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWH!!!

This is my second box for OWH! The birthday bash challenges were so much fun.
I wish I could stay home and make cards all the time.

Oriental Butterfly

This card was created for the Anything Goes Oriental Challenge and the Cute Card Thursday Tweet and a Flutter Challenge. I used All night media China stamp and Hero Arts Butterfly with fern stamp.   This is actually a combination of two of my favorite things. When I was little I loved butterflies (I still do) and in college I was fortunate enough to spend a summer in China. The year was 1997 and Hong Kong was changing hands (British to Chinese). I really enjoyed my time there.

Use 3 different patterned papers to fill the entire background of your card, leaving no blank space. They do not have to be the same size, as long as they cover the background.
