Swing - Flip Flop card

Here is a new Happy Birthday flip flop card that I made. The directioms are very easy to follow. I found them at Splitcoaststampers. Check it out I know you will enjoy making this card, I do!
On the cover I used a MelJen's design free digi stamp.

On the flip side I used a Dustin Pike digital stamp. Both have been colored using rose art pencils.

Embossed Flower Card

On OWH's Stars and Stamps blog this week's tutorial was an embossed flower card.
I think this is my new favorite technique for embossing cards. So PRETTY!
This is my take on the technique:
I used an Inkadinkado stamp for the background, and layered some flowers I had cut out using my cricut. I didn't want too much texture so I chose the birds and swirls embossing folder. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the crystals are from Michael's dollar section. Thanks for the tutorial. I'm off to make a few more cards using this technique.

Still organizing

For the past few weeks I have been converting my guest room into my craft/everything room.
We purchased shelving at Ikea and I loaded all of my supplies.
I wanted to use fun and colorful storage. I found these bins at Ikea, Michaels, Walmart and Target.

With my labeler in hand I started giving everthing a home.

These small containers are Jolees Jewelry storage keepers but they work great for all of the small embellies I use for papercrafting.

Even my sewing machine, patterns, crochet/knitting books and magazines now have a home.

I made these tags for the Ikea magazine boxes. The index cards are only held on by the brads for easy removal if I want to change what is in the box.

On these shelves I keep my family of Cricut products. I'm not sure if I want to leave them out on the table or keep them in the boxes.
My craft room will always be a work in progress as to it's organization, but I am so happy that I am getting so much of it done.

New Card

I was looking at my dashboard the other day and happened upon Brenda's blog:
She has so many cute projects: card folds, boxes, gift ideas and beautiful cards. I want to CASE them all.
Here is a card that I made for my friend's engagement party:
This is the "swing" card. Brenda made her version into a giftcard holder.
The center of the card "flips" over when the card is opened.

I even decorated the envelope to match. Sorry the pics are so horrible.
I haven't mastered it yet.

Blue & Chocolate Challenge

This week on Southern Girls Challenge blog they had a colour challenge.
Here are the requirements:
Welcome to another challenge at Southern Girls. This week we are giving you a colour challenge, we would like to see a BROWN & BLUE colour combo on your creations. You can of course use any neutrals but we want to see blue and brown featured.

I wanted to make a birthday card for one of my friend's son.
Here is my entry:

The fold technique I learned from Sweet as a Gumdrop blog.
It is super easy to make and my favorite card to produce at the moment.
I used Meljen's groundhog digi and sentiment, Hero arts stamps,
and retro paper from a stack I bought forever ago.

There is a pun with the paper and the sentiment. Retro 70's and "can you DIG it?"
I had a lot of fun making this card.

Happy Birthday to US!!!

Today I'm 35! and so is my WOMBMATE!!!!

Today, My twin sister and I are celebrating our birthday and we thought it would be fun to include all of you. So we are proposing a Double Challenge. Your challenge is to create (1) Birthday project and (1) Valentine project. Be Cre8tive and make anything you want using these themes.

Don't forget to check out my sister's blog at: onecreativemomma.blogspot.com

For my birthday project I decided to create a favor that would compliment the invitation we made. Here is the invite and favor.
Since our birthday lands near or on Super Bowl Sunday we always have a football themed party.

And for my Valentine's project I decided to make a card for my husband. The "Be mine" has a wobble attached to it so it will shake when he opens it.

Now a Challenge wouldn't be complete without BLOG CANDY so here it is. I'm giving away this TPC Studios stamp set and a Crafters Dozen pack of Wobbles given to me by Stacy at Action Wobbles.
THANKS STACY!!!

Remember these posts should be new and not something you have made before today. This challenge ends Super Bowl Sunday at Midnight Pacific time.
