Celebrate The Occasion!

If you are looking for the Die Cuttin Diva's challenge click here.

There is a sketch challenge waiting for you over at Celebrate the Occasion.
This is the card I made for an LOH friend.
I used my Sizzix folder to emboss the blue paper.
The flower is made using Recollections Boutique Fleur mini teardrop gems, and the stamp is a dollar find from Michael's.
The inside of the card was made using the scraps left from the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Now head on over to the CTO blog and try out the sketch.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge!

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we have a fall theme challenge going on.
I wanted to try a waterfall technique for this card.
I think it turned out really well.
As you pull on the tab the leaves reveal the sentiment.

The stamp is from Inkadinkado.
Now head on over to the DCD blog and share your fall creation with us.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge!

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we were asked to make a card with a "teacher" theme.
Here is my card:
I used my Peachy Keen stamps for the apples. Since I didn't have any teacher stamps I wrote the sentiment by hand.
This is inside the card. I think that I will send this to one of my frineds that started back to school last week. Thanks for stopping by my blog I hope to see you at DCD this week with your own Teacher card.

Scrapbook layout

So it's been forever since I have done any scrapbooking and then I read a comment that said when you see a picture and are motivated, make a page. I thought that was brillant. So here is the page I made.

The sketch came from Helen at scrap-a-little.com.

I want to make a scrapbook of special moments. I dated the bottom corner of the page so I can remember when the picture was taken. It was at my best friend's graduation dinner. We were celebrating the achievement of her Master's from UCLA.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday!

Earlier I posted a wedding card for a client of my husband. Well it happens to be her birthday as well. So, not knowing what she likes or her favorite colors I decided to make her this card.

I used paper from DCWV's The Glitter Sweet Stack, the stamps are from Hero Arts and Hampton Art, and the ribbon and rhinestones are dollar finds from Michael's. I used my Bow-Easy to make the bow.
I hope she likes it, I do!

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge!

If you are looking for the Celebrate the Occasion Challenge click HERE.

It's back to School for many this time of year so "Kids" are the theme for this week's Die Cutting Diva's Challenge.
A couple of weeks ago I received a package of awesome brads from Eyelet Outlet.
As soon as I saw these round glasses and the black hat I wanted to make a Harry Potter card.
I couldn't wait for this week's challenge.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls  for Harry and Create a Critter Cricut for the castle. I embossed the castle using my Cuttlebug Mosaic folder. I also used a Peachy Keen "Wide Eyed Kids" stamp for Harry. harry is also on an action wobble. The sentiment I created using microsoft word.

Other challenges I am submitting this card to are:

I hope to see you at Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge this week.
Thanks for visiting.

Celebrate The Occasion!

If you are looking for the Die Cuttin Diva's challenge click HERE.

This week we were asked to make an easel birthday card.

My best friend's mom has a birthday next week and I thought this would be the perfect challenge to make her a card.

DT Call!

There is a DT Call for Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

The sketch was so fun to work with. I was very inspired.
If you want to apply they will send you the sketch.
Here is my submission for the DT call.
The image was a free digi that I do not remember where I got it from. I colored it using colored pencils. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the yarn is from Loops & Threads Cotton Club line. I used my Bow-Easy to make them all uniform. All of the paper is from my scrap box, which keeps growing even though I have been making cards solely from the scrap box. Finally I embossed the green layer using the spring flowers Cuttlebug folder. I love how it matches my DP perfectly.

Thanks for visiting and I look forward to hearing if I make the team!

Another Wedding card

My husband is going on a business trip and happened to hear that one of the girls at his client's office got married. This is the card that I made for him to take to her.

I used my wedding solutions Cricut cartridge for the banner and bride and groom.
The pearls are from the dollar bin at Michael's.

The paper rosette has a banner with a stamp from a recollections set from Michael's.

I love decorating the inside of my cards to match. I used a stamp from the same set.

I made this card for the Wedding challenge at Critter sketch challenge blog.

Locks of LOVE!

Today I donated my hair to Locks of Love. If you haven't heard about the organization, they are wonderful. They take the donated hair and make wigs for Children with cancer.
Four years ago I donated 17 inches of hair. Today I donated about 12 or 13 inches.

Here are the before and after pictures:

I think it will take some getting used to, but my husband seems to like it.

Blogoversary Blog Hop Today!!! DAY 2

Welcome to day 2 of my Blogoversary Blog Hop. We continue with our theme of "firsts".

Here is the list of all the blogs that are participating this weekend.

Today I have two mini albums that I made from paper bags. I have cre8ted a large paperbag album but I have never made mini albums. The first mini album I made has the vintage theme and is 5" x 7".

The second album I have is a color themed album. Lime green, hot pink, and white and is 3" x 4.5".
I haven't decided what I want to use it for, so when I do I will add the embellishments.

Each of the tabs are double sided and have coordinating DP.

Now don't forget there is blog candy to be won. I haven't been home much due to work but Here is the picture of most of the candy I promised you.
Thanks for visiting! Don't forget to come back for the last day of the blog hop.

My Blogoversary is here! DAY 1

Welcome to my First Blogoversary blog hop.
The theme for this blog hop is "Firsts" (ex: 1st birthday, 1st Anniversary, Baby's 1st steps, etc) but I also wanted the hoppers to try a technique or project for the first time. Many talented crafters are hopping along with me today. Make sure you visit each and every one of them and leave them some comment love. I think you will enjoy everything that they have cre8ted. This hop will be for three days. Most of the ladies have made three projects so don't forget to come back each day. (August 5th-7th)

Here is the line up:

 ***** Emma    www.creativetimeforme.blogspot.com  *****

Now on to my card. My Niece/God-daughter turned one this past weekend. So what a perfect opportunity to cre8te a card for my blog hop.

I had just received my Wild Card Cricut Cartridge in the mail and knew I wanted to use it for the blog hop. This card is the first card I made using the Wild Card cart.

I wanted to add a shadow on the inside of the card so I used a slightly smaller cut of the same cupcake.

There is blog candy to be shared. (picture coming later today, working 13 hour days is putting me behind just a little) Please leave me a comment (along with your email) and if you want follow my blog. I will draw a winner on Monday morning. Thanks for hopping along with me.
Your next stop is Georgiana www.carsonscricutcreations.blogspot.com

Thanks! -Yvette
