Trendy Twine Guest Design

I am so excited to be a part of Trendy Twine's challenge this month. When I found out that I would be a guest designer for Trendy Twine and that the challenge this month was "Just another day at the beach" themed I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I have been dying to try to crochet a starfish. So I grabbed TT's Krazy for Kraft twine and 10 minutes later I had this:

We went to our friend's wedding on Saturday and these sand dollars were part of their theme. I was totally inspired to use them.
I think they add the perfect balance to my card.
Thanks for visiting my blog and don't forget to go over to Trendy Twine's blog and leave the DT some love.
Their projects rock!

Back from the Abyss!

Hello All!
I am finally back in the blog world. When my computer died in April I had to stop all blogging and drop from all of my Design Teams. :( Then my husband and I recently moved so all crafting was put on hold. Now that we are settled into the new house and my new computer has been installed I can finally start crafting again. YEA!!!
I hope to have many wonderful projects for you soon.

Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we are celebrating Music in our schools month.

When I was in grade school I was lucky to go to a school that had a pretty cool music program. We got to play all sorts of instruments that you just don't see anymore. I took piano lessons on and off throughout grade school and high school until I joined the hand bell choir and a vocal group in high school. Not to mention plays, musicals, and performances. Needless to say I loved all of the experiences I had because of music in my schools.

I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge for this card. The stamp is a dollar find from Michael's.

Join us at the Die Cuttin Diva's Blog for this week's Music challenge.

Wobble Wednesday's First Challenge

A year or so ago my sister introduced me to action wobbles and I fell in LOVE.
These hidden craft supplies make cards so much fun!

I am entering this card in Wobble Wednesday's first challenge: Anything goes.

I used the robotz and indie art carts from cricut, the diamond plate from cuttlebug, and copper brads from my stash. The robot is (of course) on an action wobble!
After I had finished my card my husband said, "Is that a cow?"
I was crushed but went with it and it is now known as the robot cow card. :)

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge

We have a color challenge for you this week:
Green, Yellow, Black, and White.

One of the gifts I received for Christmas was this book:

I decided to try my hand at the Iris fold. These were the supplies I chose to use.

I cut out a couple of Shamrocks using the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. Cut at 3".

The four patterned papers I cut into 1.5" strips (only one 12" strip for each paper.)
and folded them in half.

Then you use the back side of the image and tape your pieces alternating the patterned paper and angling the paper 15-30 degrees every layer.

This is what my card looks like all finished. I used Trendy Twine for the bottom of the card. The stamp is from My Creative Time and the buttons were a gift from my best friend's mom.

I look forward to your entries this week and Hope that you try this fold on your project for this week's color challenge over at Die Cuttin' Diva's.
Thanks for visiting.

What a great challenge we had last week at Die Cuttin Diva's. I loved seeing all of your projects.
This week is sketch week at DCD.

It is March already (can you believe it!) and I wanted to make a St. Patty's Day card.

I used Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge for the shamrock, Trendy Twine for the bow, and the trim if from Hobby Lobby.the sentiment is from my favorite stamp creator, Emma at My Creative Time. I know I didn't follow the theme of the sketch as most of the DT did, but I do love how different all of their cards turned out as well.

Head on over to the Die Cuttin Diva's sketch challenge and enter to win our blog candy. I am sponsoring the challenge this week. I wanted to stock you up for St. Patty's Day!

Die Cuttin' Diva's

We have a fun recipe challenge for you this week over at Die Cuttin' Diva's!
Feathers, Fabric and/or Flowers

I found the background fabric at Joann's and decided to find a die cut that went with it. The Florals Embellished Cricut Cartridge had this die cut that matches pretty well with the fabric. I used Fun Fur yarn because is reminded me of a feather boa and the flowers are rhinestones I found in the clearance bin at Michael's. I purposely did not put a sentiment on this card beacuse I haven't decided what to use it for.

Head on over to the DCD blog and show us your recipe card/project. Don't forget to tell us which die cut you used.

Thanks for stopping by.

HaPpY BiRThDaY To My WombMate aNd I!

As promised, My sister and I are having a special blog post for our birthday.
We searched the blog world and found an amazing project for all of you... The Never Ending Card!

This is the first time my sister and I have made this card. You can literally flip and flip and keep flipping the card over and over forever. Here are the pictures of my never ending card.

All of the paper is from DCWV's Lemon Flower Stack. I have been waiting to use this paper and I absolutely love how it looks on the never ending card.
I used 3 different embossing folders, chip board embellishments, paper and mulberry flowers, buttons, and various stamps. I do have a few blank areas on the card that I am not sure what to put, but I think I will wait and see what I come up with.

This past Monday at CHA I had the pleasure of meeting Emma from My Creative Time. She is amazing and so are her products. Emma gave me and my sister this stamp set for blog candy for our Birthday Celebration Post. All you have to do is become a follower and leave me a comment. I would also love it if you visited Emma's blog and told her that we sent you.

Thanks for celebrating my birthday with me!
