Thank You Team Mom

The softball season ends on Saturday. My husband is the coach of our niece's team and asked me to make a thank you card for the team mom. I had a two new stamp sets that I thought would be perfect for this card. This is how it turned out:
Lately I have also been decorating the inside of my cards. I love how they turn out. It's unexpected and adds something special to the card.

SSC Blog Hop

Simply Scrapping Crafts is having their first monthly blog hop of 2011. The theme was Seasons and it is currently Spring here on Southern California. I decided to use the Easter baskets that I make for my family.
We have 10 nieces and nephews under the age of 9 so I made some of them a small Easter basket this year. Four of them live up in Northern California so I didn't make their baskets this year.

Each basket has their name, a rabbit that I made with my create a critter cart and cricut machine, and a side detail of flowers with my martha fence punch.

These are the bigger baskets that I made for my In-Laws and other family members.
My step-daughter saw the baskets that I was making for easter so I decided to make her one that matches her room. This way she can have it out all year long.

These baskets are so easy to make that I have made them for birthdays, Christmas, and many other holidays.
Thanks for stopping by on the blog hop. Click here if you want to continue hopping http://www.inlinkz.com/wpview.php?id=49302

Monochromatic Card

I am finally getting around to making some cards for last weeks challenges. Both OWH and SSC CAS challenge had the theme of a Monochromatic challenge. I decided to make a card for my sister and her husband for their anniversary. Since my sister is a follower of my blog and DT of the CAS challenge blog on SSC she will probably see this card before I am able to give it to her for her anniversary. So "Happy Anniversary" and have a blast in Hawaii this week. JEALOUS!

I love decorating the inside and back of my cards. and since I am not mailing this card I was able to embellish it with lots of flowers and a bow.

Bridal shower gift

Here is the Briday shower gift I made for my step-daughter's mother. Since I made her wedding invitations I wanted to coordinate her guestbook with them. I ordered this album from Joann's online and covered it with cardstock. I added the DP and used my cricut for the cover embellishments.
I also used the Bow-Easy to make the bow.

I searched the internet for famous quotes on marriage, love, and wedding.
There are 6 pages that I used these quotes.

I hope she loves it! The shower is later today.

Bake Sale with Cricut

My LOH (Ladies of Harley) chpater group had a bake sale this weekend to raise money for a local shelter. I was in charge of making the sign and, of course, baking goodies.
I used my Sweet Treats cricut cartridge for the cupcakes and the "cookies". Since there weren't any cookies on the cart I made my own out of a blackout flower and mini whipped cream. All of the words were welded on my gyspy and the paper is edged in MS. I added glitter glue to the cupcakes.

Here is Ellen, Sherry, and Dean from my Harley Chapter.

Happy Birthday!

This month I am celebrating a great couple. Both of their birthday's are in April and only 3 weeks apart. So I was busy making a card for each of them.
We weren't able to get together on his birthday so I made him a belated birthday card.

And next week I am going on a girl's night out to celebrate her birthday! I just had to make her card girly and with some sparkle.

Bridal shower Card

Here is the wedding shower card I made for my step-daughter's mother. I LOVE how it turned out. I also love my new "Bow-easy"

now SHHHHH! Don't tell the bride. The shower isn't for 2 weeks.

Wedding Invitation

My step-daughter's mother is getting married and I offered to make the Wedding Invitations. I know, it's weird but we actually get along. I had 5 days to make 100 invitations that included response cards. I had a blast making them but it was a lot of work.

Here is the assembly line that we made for the final day to put the invites together.

And this is how they turned out.

Divas by Design DT call!

Divas by Design are looking for 5 DT's:
"We are also looking for 5 new DT members! We will be split into 2 teams so you will need to be able to produce a piece of work once every 4 wks with the possibility of working with sponsor images on occasion. You will also need to comment on challenge entries according to a set quota."

I would love to be a part of this design team. I have been crafting since I was very young. My grandmother taught me how to crochet, paint, draw, and sew. I have a great husband who doesn't mind my obsession with all things crafty and even gave me the guestroom as my craft room. I love making cards and refuse to buy $5 "Hallmark" or any other brand cards.

Here are the three projects that are my favourite:

This was an easle card I made for my friend's birthday.

I love to try new folds and techniques. The digi is Meljen's so is the sentiment.

The scrapbook layout was a project that I did for my first blog hop. The group consisted of people from around the world so we decided to make it a traditions/culture theme.

Here are a couple of close ups of the embellishments I made.

Thank you for the opportunity to be on your design team. I would love to be a part of it.

<3 Yvette
