Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge #44

Good Morning everyone! Welcome to our tags, tags, and more tags TWO WEEK challenge.
With Christmas just around the corner all of the Diva's agreed to switch from making cards to making tags. This week we are also sponsored by Whimsie Doodles. There are so many great digis to choose from on their site.
I used the Wild Card cartridge. I chose the liners function to create the tags.

I used glitter glue around the penguin to look like snow.

I found the grass die cut on the paper doll cartridge.

After using the glitter glue on the bow and candy I used Glossy Accents on the jar to make it look like glass.

All of the background paper and ribbon is from my stash.
I plan on making many more of these for Christmas.

Thanks for visiting! Please join us at DCD for this challenge. It will run for two weeks.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
Over at Die Cuttin' Diva's we have a great sketch for you today.
I had such a great time finding the right die cut and ribbon for this sketch.
The bird is from the Florals Embellished then topped with Glossy Accents. The tree is cut from Stretch Your Imagination and the ribbon is bits and pieces from Target dollar bin, Joann's dollar bin, and Michael's spool ribbon. I also used the snowflake embossing folder for the cuttlebug.

I hope you were inspired by this sketch like I was. So head on over to the DCD blog we would love to see your projects.
Thanks for stopping by.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge

It's almost Turkey time! This week at Die Cuttin' Diva's we have a turkey challenge for you.
I found this cute turkey on the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge and put him on an action wobble. My husband walked by the table I was working at and said, "he should be shaking!" I had to laugh. It's good to be back after a 2 week break. Even though this card is pretty simple I look forward to getting back into craft mode.

Thanks for stopping by.
Now head on over to DCD and show us your turkeys!
-Yvette

I am also entering this card in CTO's Thanksgiving challenge this week.

Happy Veteran's Day!

This week at Celebrate the Occasion we are honoring our Veterans!

My sister had let me borrow her Stand and Salute cartridge as inspiration for my card this week, and then she surprised me with my own Stand and Salute cart.
Just another one of her great $20 finds at Michael's.
This is the card I was inspired to make:
The stamps are from My Creative Time's Happy Homecoming set.

Veteran's Day is a time for all of us to remember those who have served and are currently serving in all branches of our military.
Yesterday I was flying home from a terrific vacation and on the plane was a family. They had just spent the week in Florida on a family vacation before he was to be deployed for the next year.
Sitting next to my mother-in-law was another soldier in uniform. She told him that she was honored to be sitting next to someone who is defending our country.

Hug your family, cherish your friends and THANK a Veteran!

May the FORCE be with you!

Today I have a very special card to share.
My co-worker is getting married on Nov. 4th and everyone is dressing up in costumes for the ceremony. No, it isn't a Halloween themed wedding, they are just having fun with it. Since my DH and I can not attend I made him this card:
My friend and I share a love for Star Wars and I had to find a way to make Han Solo and Princess Leia.
I pulled out the Paper Doll Dress Up and Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridges and searched for all of the pieces that would work. For example: Han's vest is from the cowgirl, his holster is from the Policeman, Leia's dress is from the peasant girl, and her belt is from one of the super heroes.
To make the background look future-istic I used some embossing folders and some corrigated paper, I added some glitter glue and puffy paint and TA-DA all finished.

I hope you love my card as much as I do.
Best wishes to my co-worker and his beloved.

Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge

If you are looking for my 200th Post and Celebrate the Occasion Challenge click HERE.

This week at DCD we have a color challenge: orange, green, purple, and black. As promised, here is the third and last coffin I made for Halloween. And those of you who visited my post yesterday may have guessed that Mr. Frankenstein was on this coffin.
I used puffy paint to make the cobwebs and the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for Frankenstein.

For the inside of the coffin I used my Sizzix cobweb embossing folder.
and then used some black ink to make the webs pop.

The side of the coffin was decorated with a few different DP.
All three coffins are sitting on my mantle.

I hope you will join us for our color challenge this week. All of the designers have done such a great job over at DCD.

Happy Haunting!

Critter Sketch Challenge

We were asked to use 3 different pattern papers for this challenge. You might remember a couple of weeks ago I decorated a coffin for another challenge. Well here is the second coffin I made. I had to add the bling since the Bride of Frankenstein is featured on this one.

I used the Happy Haunting Cartridge for BoF.
The three papers I used were the candy, the striped and the "Trick or Treat" star paper.
Now head on over to our Critter challenge and enter your project.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the last of my Halloween coffins.
HINT: DH of today's featured character! ;)

Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge

If you are looking for the CELEBRATE THE OCCASION post click HERE

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we have a sweet challenge for you!
In honor of National Dessert Day this week we want you to create a project with any type of dessert.

When I woke up this morning my husband told me that we had to be at a birthday party by 3pm. When I asked who's party and why I didn't know about it, he said, "Oops! I forgot to tell you they called last week." So off to my craft supplies to make a card and a notebook for the birthday girl I went.
The gift set.

I used my sweet treats Cricut Cartridge for the cake and plate.
the stamps are from Hero Arts. I also used my MS punch for the notebook.

The notebook is a dollar store find that I altered using the same paper from the card.

We hope you have been inspired for this challenge. We would love to see your projects over at DCD and hear some feedback on all of our blogs.
Thanks for visiting!

Celebrate the Occasion!

This week at Celebrate the Occasion we have a color challenge for you.
Red, Black and White
I wanted to make a Halloween theme card and this is what I came up with:
"I vant to suck your blood!"
Since the vampire was cut in four layers I needed to add a 4th color, grey.
I found the perfect background paper that tied the whole theme together.
I also added googlie eyes to some of the dots on the background paper.
I had a lot of fun making this card. I hope you will join us over at CTO.

Thanks for stopping by.

Trendy Twine Challenge #2

If you are looking for the Critter Sketch challenge click HERE

-Use a Pumpkin or Jack-o-lantern & some sort of twine on your card or project.-
Challenge will run from October 4th- October 27th.

I have wanted to crochet a pumpkin for a while now, but I could never find a pattern that I liked.
So I picked up my embroidery floss and started experimenting.
I think it turned out pretty well.
When I read the requirements for the Trendy Twine challenge I was excited to be able to use this little pumpkin. I decided to make Pumpkin Pie.
I used a crochet pattern from the internet for the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Recipe card! and My 1st post for Critter Sketch!

I am so excited to be a part of the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog design team.
We have a recipe challenge for you this week: one image, four buttons, and the color purple.

The card I made for this challenge is for our very own Melanie.
As we were all getting to know each other and preparing for the new term, Melanie announced that she was going on her honeymoon. I thought it would be fun to have the first card I use for Critter Sketch be a wedding card for Melanie. So here it is:
The buttons are purple. I don't know why in the photo they look blue.

This is the inside of the card. Both stamps were dollar finds from Michael's.

Now it's your turn to go on over to CSCB and show us your recipe cards/projects.
Thanks for visiting!

Haunted Halloween Blog Hop!!!

If you are looking for the Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge click HERE.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Haunted Halloween Blog Hop.
Please stay with me for this is a long post. The banner that I made was too long to fit in one picture. There are many pictures for you to be able to see all of the details.

Mistyrose sent us all of the Halloween DP and asked us to be cre8tive. This is what I made:

Since the banner is so long I decided to take a picture of three or four of the panels in order for you to see them better. I used the Base Campand Cricut Essentials Cricut Cartridges, floss, brads, all kinds of ribbon, googlie eyes, rhinestones, and the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge.

This is a close up of two of the portraits Frankenstein and his Bride.

I wanted this banner to fold up and look like a book when not out on display.
There is a lot of details that I would still love to add but I ran out of time. So by thursday I may have it completely finished. Don't forget to come back and check.

Here is the line up for the blog hop that started yesterday:

Thanks for sticking with me on this extremely long post. I would love to hear your comments, as would the other DT members. So have fun and share your thoughts.
