October Surprise CHALLENGE!

Are you ready for another challenge? (And yes, it's a cheesy name. LOL!)
This time it' brought to you by our dear friend and author Kimber McGray! She's a talented crafter, military wife, and OWH supporter who wrote a new book - 175 Fresh Card Ideas - and in it OWH gets a wonderful shout out!! What a great way to get the word out to crafters about our heroes' need for cards! All cards submitted for the book are donated to OWH, too!

Here's a few links you might want to check out to hear more about the book and Kimber herself:

•Kimber's blog post for today - with her link to here
•Interview with Kimber giving a SUPER shoutout to OWH: Memory Makers
•The original call for submissions for the book last year
•A blog hop post by Kimber from a previous hop
•Hero Blog note from Kimber in 2008
•The book on Amazon!
The challenge
Our shippers would LOVE your help in getting Christmas cards in before the Oct 30th deadline; they all have to be stamped, tucked, sorted, and repacked to be in the mail shortly after that, and if cards got to them early, their lives would be a lot easier! (You can help by making your cards shipper-ready...review the Guidelines to see how!)

So to qualify for the drawing, get your cards to a shipper BEFORE OCTOBER 15th!
To get an extra entry, post a card and link to this blog post about our challenge on your blog, and link up below!
REMINDER! No more halloween cards please, we're well past that deadline. Thanksgiving just passed as well. But if you have fall papers and stamps you simply need to use - make a general card (thinking of you, birthday, love, thank you) with them and they are due by Oct 15th as well.

The prize
Kimber's generously giving us two copies of her book to give away! Thank you Kimber!!
Here is the site, now go and get cre8tive!http://www.owhhomefrontblog.org/

Here are a few of the cards I am making for OWH and World Cardmaking Day!!

  1. Cute cards! I have a couple sheets left of that paper with the ornaments - you're making me wanna go find them! But it's midnight so I'll hold off the urge. LOL! Great job and thanks for posting about our challenge!

  2. Yvette, I love your ornament cards and the way you contrasted different plaids on the Santa card!
