HaPpY BiRThDaY To My WombMate aNd I!

As promised, My sister and I are having a special blog post for our birthday.
We searched the blog world and found an amazing project for all of you... The Never Ending Card!

This is the first time my sister and I have made this card. You can literally flip and flip and keep flipping the card over and over forever. Here are the pictures of my never ending card.

All of the paper is from DCWV's Lemon Flower Stack. I have been waiting to use this paper and I absolutely love how it looks on the never ending card.
I used 3 different embossing folders, chip board embellishments, paper and mulberry flowers, buttons, and various stamps. I do have a few blank areas on the card that I am not sure what to put, but I think I will wait and see what I come up with.

This past Monday at CHA I had the pleasure of meeting Emma from My Creative Time. She is amazing and so are her products. Emma gave me and my sister this stamp set for blog candy for our Birthday Celebration Post. All you have to do is become a follower and leave me a comment. I would also love it if you visited Emma's blog and told her that we sent you.

Thanks for celebrating my birthday with me!

Get Well Soon!

I made this card for someone who is amazingly strong and currently fighting stage 4 cancer. This is her second time fighting this horrible disease.

I am hoping that this card will bring her some cheer and she continues her fight.

Feel free to say a pray for her and her family.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Die cuttin Diva's Challenge

January 21st is National Squirrel Appreciation Day!
We at Die Cuttin Diva's are celebrating squirrels this week.
All of the designers have found the cutest squirrel die cuts to use on their projects.

I pulled out my Stretch your Imagination cartridge and with the help of my niece, Casey, came up with this altered notebook.

The squirrel was cut at 3.5" and the tree at 6". The background paper is from DCWV's Animal Cracker stack and the twine is from Trendy Twine. I am still looking for the perfect sentiment for this notebook. So if you can think of something or know of someone who makes really cute sentiments I would be very appreciative.

Don't forget National Squirrel Appreciation Day!
We would love to see your cre8tions over at DCD.
Thanks for stopping by!

Critter Sketch Challenge

Whoo hooo, we are in our two weekend count down to our 100th blog post. I hope you are anticipating it as much as we are and are making plans to join us.

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenged hosted by Robyn's Fetish.

I decided to use the Frosty Friends Digi from Robyn's Fetish on my card.

The paper is from DCWV Sweet Stack and already had the white and pink stripes at the bottom. All I added was the cardstock, Trendy Twine, and a button from my stash. On the image I used glitter glue to enhance the hearts and snow.

Thanks for visiting my blog and we hope to see you over at Critter Sketch.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge #44

Good Morning everyone! Welcome to our tags, tags, and more tags TWO WEEK challenge.
With Christmas just around the corner all of the Diva's agreed to switch from making cards to making tags. This week we are also sponsored by Whimsie Doodles. There are so many great digis to choose from on their site.
I used the Wild Card cartridge. I chose the liners function to create the tags.

I used glitter glue around the penguin to look like snow.

I found the grass die cut on the paper doll cartridge.

After using the glitter glue on the bow and candy I used Glossy Accents on the jar to make it look like glass.

All of the background paper and ribbon is from my stash.
I plan on making many more of these for Christmas.

Thanks for visiting! Please join us at DCD for this challenge. It will run for two weeks.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge

It's almost Turkey time! This week at Die Cuttin' Diva's we have a turkey challenge for you.
I found this cute turkey on the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge and put him on an action wobble. My husband walked by the table I was working at and said, "he should be shaking!" I had to laugh. It's good to be back after a 2 week break. Even though this card is pretty simple I look forward to getting back into craft mode.

Thanks for stopping by.
Now head on over to DCD and show us your turkeys!
-Yvette

I am also entering this card in CTO's Thanksgiving challenge this week.

Happy Veteran's Day!

This week at Celebrate the Occasion we are honoring our Veterans!

My sister had let me borrow her Stand and Salute cartridge as inspiration for my card this week, and then she surprised me with my own Stand and Salute cart.
Just another one of her great $20 finds at Michael's.
This is the card I was inspired to make:
The stamps are from My Creative Time's Happy Homecoming set.

Veteran's Day is a time for all of us to remember those who have served and are currently serving in all branches of our military.
Yesterday I was flying home from a terrific vacation and on the plane was a family. They had just spent the week in Florida on a family vacation before he was to be deployed for the next year.
Sitting next to my mother-in-law was another soldier in uniform. She told him that she was honored to be sitting next to someone who is defending our country.

Hug your family, cherish your friends and THANK a Veteran!
